ABSTRACT
Mining activities often generate important amounts of extractive waste, and as a consequence, environmental impacts that affects all factors to greater or lesser extent. Depending on variety variables, the impact can be permanent temporary, reversible irreversible, negative positive. This study conducted research status closure remediation processes mining areas in Romania, specifically counties Maramureș, Suceava, Harghita, Alba, Hunedoara, Caraș-Severin. Furthermore, based type level pollution, degree application techniques for water soil pollution investigated was studied. From analysed information, it is evident although process started Romania over 20 years ago, unfortunately, this day, technical projects, assistance, execution works have not yet completely solved complex issues sector. Most tailing ponds waste piles former mines continue pose specific risk environment population. concludes sector has necessary technologies ecological rehabilitation degraded lands related Extractive Waste Facilities elimination public health, been able fully concretize its efforts.
