ABSTRACT
Artificial intelligence (AI)-based models hold the potential to transform higher education if adopted properly and ethically. A prime example is ChatGPT with earlier studies indicating its widespread adoption in academia by university students. The current study aimed identify factors influencing attitude towards usage among students Arab countries. previous survey instrument termed Technology Acceptance Model Edited Assess Adoption (TAME-ChatGPT) was administered online using a convenience-based approach contacts of authors. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) for constructs done root mean square error approximation (RMSEA), standardized residual (SRMR), comparative fit index (CFI), Tucker-Lewis (TLI). final sample comprised total 2240 participant divided as follows: Iraq (n=736, 32.9%), Kuwait (n=582, 26.0%), Egypt (n=417, 18.6%), Lebanon (n=263, 11.7%), Jordan (n=242, 10.8%). 1048 respondents heard before (46.8%), which 551 used (52.6%). scores TAME-ChatGPT showed that ease use, positive technology social influence, perceived usefulness, influence behavioral/cognitive factors, low risks anxiety were determinants use. For both scales TAME-ChatGPT, CFA collectively yielded satisfactory indices indicated RMSEA SRMR together high CFI TLI. Multivariate use significantly influenced country residence, age, type, latest grade point average confirmed validity assess possible findings highlighted successful could be dependent on attitudes technology, lower anxiety, minimal risks. utility requires policies should tailored various settings, considering differences observed participating this study.
