ABSTRACT
Scientists, politicians, and practitioners are debating the current structure of pig farms in Lithuania, as medium small have almost disappeared over past decade. The debated problem is whether revitalization would sustainably contribute to self-sufficiency pork? Therefore, this research aims determine which terms size could be most perspective. In order achieve aim multi-criteria evaluation method TOPSIS was used. economic, production environmental indicators Lithuanian farming sector Lithuania selected EU countries: Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Denmark were analyzed research. led conclusion that Danish best managed. Germany occupied second place. industrial large found dominated those countries.
