ABSTRACT
Constraint-based metabolic modeling approaches have enhanced our knowledge and understanding of the metabolism prokaryotes eukaryotes. This approach highly depends on reconstruction process genome-scale models (Mmodels). M-models can guide effective experimental design yield new insights into function control biological systems. Despite recent advances in automated generation draft network reconstructions, manual curation these networks remains a labor-intensive challenging task. Thus, ten quick tips for are essential optimizing high-quality model less time. collection describes great detail resources methods to ensure successful reconstruction. Furthermore, it increases scope other protocols by including reconstruct eukaryotic organisms. all applicable wide range We believe this manuscript will interest broad audience researchers from different disciplines, spanning microbiology systems biology biotechnology.
