ABSTRACT
Dengue virus serotype 2 (DENV-2) is responsible for dengue epidemics on a global scale and recognized being associated with severe cases of the disease. This study conducted phylogenetic investigation DENV-2 in Northern region Brazil. isolates from 2017 to 2021, originating Brazilian states, were selected. Only one lineage (I) Asian-American genotype (5) cosmopolitan observed. All sequences used this segregated into paraphyletic subgroup aligned an American clade. These results indicate probable geographic link starting Puerto Rico. Additionally, Acre identified grouped monophyletic clade genotype. cocirculation two distinct lineages: Lineage 1, (probable origin Rico); 5, Peru). Our provide important data regarding DENV genotypes lineages distribution, as well opening up possibilities introduction dissemination routes.
