Exploring the Coordinated Development of Smart City Clusters in China: A Case Study of Jiangsu Province

As urbanization has accelerated, China started to build smart cities, which have formed city clusters. It is critical coordinate development within clusters enhance the efficiency of cluster construction. From perspective demographic economics, this study innovatively constructed an evaluation system for coordinated and utilized coupled coordination degree model conduct in-depth in Jiangsu Province. The results show that there are clear differences between three regions Province: Southern Jiangsu, Central Northern Jiangsu. Province imbalanced, where overall trend high southern region low northern region. main driving factors include geography, Matthew effect, game thinking, industrial structure. Accordingly, suggest following recommendations clusters: strengthening cross-regional cooperation, promoting data sharing interoperability, deepening synergistic development, expanding innovation capacity.
