ABSTRACT
: Shear-wave elastography (SWE) has become popular in clinical practice for many diseases. However, there are not adequate research spleen-related diseases. This study aimed to investigate the potential of quantitative values obtained through SWE evaluating spleen pathologies pediatric population and demonstrate its perfomance differentiate splenomegaly-related diseases.Research group retrospectively included children with pathological diagnoses related from November 2016 April 2021 they were categorized three groups as portal hypertension (PH), benign lymphoid hyperplasia (BLH), malignant infiltration (MI).Spleen sizes parenchymal stiffness also calculated each group.Subsequently, mean compared normal within same age group. In total 2781 (1379 group, 1402 control group) enrolled study. The highest observed PH which is statistically higher than others (p<0.05). Although BLH was MI difference significant (p=0.08).The significantly lower both (p=0.005) (p=0.01).In conclusion, using differential diagnosis etiologies causing splenomegaly, could make important contribution.
