ABSTRACT
Plug and abandonment (P&A) operations demand valuable time resources with operational procedures materials to establish the well barrier element. This study proposes use of a water-based fluid as liquid element for temporary abandonment, based on esti-mates its lifespan survival probability downhole conditions acquired through acceler-ated life tests. For that, formulation was tested exposed 95, 110, 140 150°C, intervals ranging from 1 10 days. After temperature exposure, prop-erties were verified failure detected by accounting any deterioration in rheological parameters and/or substantial increase filtrate volume. Statistical analysis data performed R software using Weibull Model, average estimated P&A temperatures. The results obtained demonstrates that degradation only observed 150°C is mostly related CMC deterioration. reliability metrics shows until 80°C promising alternative no need monitoring. higher temperatures, theses should be considered define maximum operation requirements monitoring management design.
