A Comparison of Hot Pack and Stretching Exercises on Primary Dysmenorrhea in Adolescent Girls

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Dysmenorrhea or menstrual cramps is a pain (usually in the pelvis, lower back abdomen) during menstruation. The usually begins several days before bleeding starts. It often mild but some cases, symptoms may be more painful and cause discomfort. divided into two categories including primary (not associated with pelvic pathology) secondary (resulting from underlying diseases) dysmenorrhea. purpose of this study was to compare effect hot pack stretching exercises on adolescent girls Method: This an experimental research group pre-test post-test design. Twenty students Class X who met inclusion exclusion criteria were assigned groups: (n=10) exercise groups (n=10). measured using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) after six times interventions. score changes each analysed paired sample test while comparison means for assessed independent samples t-test. Result: results revealed that intensity both declined (p <.05). After conducting t-test, it found there statistically significant difference between level = 0,001). Conclusion: Hot effective reducing dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain) exercises.
