ABSTRACT
The Intergovernmental Panel Climate Change (IPCC) states that transportation contributes 13.1% of emissions (IPCC, 2006). Magetan Regency plans to support Indonesia in reducing by 20% 2040 analysing and mitigating greenhouse gas (GHG) generated the sector. analysis was conducted calculating based on traffic volume survey data fuel oil (BBM) used obtain amounts generated. From analysis, it found CO2 sector amounted 3,105,318.08 tons/year 2020 had potential increase 3.31% per year. As mitigation actions, three activities are proposed, namely use public transportation, movement walking school greening. total expected be reduced 1,422,516 or equivalent 45% reduction if proposed implemented. If this is implemented, will able contribute 0.22% GHG emission 2040. all districts also implement mitigation, 9.15%
