ABSTRACT
The degradation of cultural assets exposed in out-of-door environments is a continuous and irreversible phenomenon that largely accelerated by anthropogenic pollution.Various phenomena can develop on stone surfaces among which one the most important formation black crusts are created areas protected from runoff. The development these patinas very complex understanding their genesis could be fundamental preventing decay monuments. This research shows results second exposure campaign ageing chambers order to understand role catalysts trigger sulphation process crusts. This study was developed analyzing samples Carrara marble treated with metal cation solutions PM 2.5 were for three weeks corrosion irradiation chambers.
