<p>This paper describes a laboratory method for the determination of pressure balance piston fall rate using simple camera-based optical system with internally developed software. Measurements were carried out on three standard piston/cylinder units in Croatian National Pressure Laboratory (LPM) gas and oil as transmitting medium.<br />Measurement equipment, procedure results sets measurements are given, well an evaluation measurement uncertainty. Results compared other relevant measurements.</p>
