ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to investigate the 3-dimensional (3D) morphological features true acetabulum in patients with developmental dysplasia hip (DDH).Seventy-nine hips-53 (DDH) and 36 normal hips-were included present study. According Crowe classification, 26 hips were graded as Class I, 31 II or III, 22 IV. anterior pelvic plane defined standardize measurements A selected virtual cup component implanted into a 3D model each hip. acetabular anteversion angle, effective center-edge (CE) Sharp thickness medial wall measured provide indices acetabulum. Acetabular sector angles coverage ratio indices. The angle increased severity DDH. Crowe-II/III had smallest CE largest angle. mean greatest (8.72 mm; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 7.52 9.92 mm), intermediate Crowe-I (7.17 CI 6.24 8.11 Crowe-IV (6.05 4.78 7.32 mm). integrated significantly less than that IV hips. The DDH can be evaluated comprehensively by using implantation simulation. Segmental bone deficiency prevalent dysplastic hips, especially those group. Both individual morphology should carefully considered preoperative planning.
