ABSTRACT
We present a case of muscular cysticercosis incidentally diagnosed in patient admitted for femoral neck fracture and submitted to total hip arthroplasty. Human is parasitic infection representing major health concern developing countries. The clinical features are variable depend on the anatomic location, cyst burden, cysticerci stage, host inflammatory response. Diagnosis commonly incidental, prompt pattern recognition key diagnosis, adequate referral, treatment. This one first reports arthroplasty with history (without need directed pathogen treatment).
