ABSTRACT
Studies about mental health among urban and rural residents are scarce. A limited number of studies report somewhat better in settings, despite higher rates suicides. The main objective this study was to describe social conditions the population Serbia settlements assess differences prevalence disorders.Propensity score matching persons (2 × 3,569 persons) has eliminated confounding effects from variables (age, gender, wealth index, education level, employment, family status) self-rated health. Thus, any statistical concerning (five-item Mental Health Inventory clinically diagnosed chronic anxiety or depression) between two populations were not a result variables.After all variables, estimated rate poor significantly (52.2%) than (49.1%) (p=0.012).Almost half Serbian suffers health, therefore, there is need increase efforts on promotion, prevention treatment. Our findings also support importance promoting benefits settings for people with distress.
