ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Dental caries remains a common and expensive disease for both society affected individuals. Furthermore, often affect individuals’ health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Health economic evaluations are needed to understand how efficiently distribute dental care resources. This study aims evaluate treatment costs QALY weights active inactive adult individuals, test whether the generic instrument EQ-5D-5L can distinguish differences in this population. Methods A total 1200 randomly selected individuals from clinics Västerbotten County, Sweden, were invited participate. Of these, 79 179 patients agreed participate (response rate 21.7%). Inclusion criteria participants between 20-65 years old same risk group categorization two consecutive check-ups 2014 2017. Results Treatment showed be twice as high compared three times higher age 20-29 20-29. Differences groups was found number intact teeth according groups.
