ABSTRACT
To determine the source apportionment and ecological risk of heavy metals in water from a spatiotemporal perspective, 7 samples were monitored 2018 to 2020 Taihu Lake. The correlation analysis principal component employed identify sources metals, temporal spatial characteristics analyzed using Mann-Kendall test, mean gravity center, standard-deviation ellipse. results indicated an increase median concentration following order: Cd < Pb Hg Cu As Ni Zn, These primarily derived industrial agricultural activities. Overall, risks posed by deemed acceptable, with exception Hg, which showed considerable potential risk. Furthermore, exhibited significant decreasing trend, Z-values passing 95% confidence interval significance except for S3. centers located within ellipse center coordinates (120.2553, 31.3718), major axis 44525m, minor 28225m, direction 0.4463°. This study contributes enrichment research perspectives provides valuable insights development mitigation strategies
