ABSTRACT
Background and Aim: There is a dearth of scholarly investigation pertaining to the effectiveness safety laser therapy for nevus Ota manifestation in infants. The objective this study examine efficacy administering at an early stage treat Methods: A total 102 infants below age one who had were treated Laser Center Hangzhou Third People's Hospital. treatment approach involved combination Q-switched (with wavelength 755 nm) 1064 nm). sessions conducted six-month intervals. Subsequent follow-up was through phone calls, WeChat, text messages, parents/guardians completed general questionnaire as well Conner's Abbreviated Symptom Questionnaire. Results: exhibited significant Success rates reached 88.7% four 99.3% seven sessions. No instances serious adverse reactions, except pain, reported. Among 47 subject follow-up, 14 experienced recurrence, resulting recurrence rate 29.8%. Factors contributing these recurrences included lesion size, subtypes, exposure sun, location. treatments, typically involving two three additional sessions, proved effective mitigating recurrences. Notably, none signs fear, anxiety, or other psychological abnormalities following therapy, overall satisfaction markedly high. Conclusion: Commencing promptly recommended.
