ABSTRACT
Background: In the Netherlands, almost 600,000 people had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in 2017.This decreases quality of life for many and each year, COPD leads to approximately 6,800 deaths about one billion health care expenditures.It is expected that eHealth may improve access reduce costs.However, there no conclusive scientific evidence available added value care.We conducted a scoping review into use Dutch care.The aim research was provide an overview all applications used assess these on number relevant criteria.Methods: order make aimed at patients literature searched electronic databases PubMed Google Scholar.In addition, websites were have been evaluated effectiveness reliability.The identified assessed according five criteria, eg, whether has effectiveness.Results: Thirteen programs patient platforms found eHealth.In 13 self-care informative 15 mobile apps are citizens patients.Five be effective improving or reducing hospital admissions small pilot studies.The other should established larger studies future.Discussion: More needed.We recommend develop nationwide open source platform where wellevaluated can showcased providers care.
