ABSTRACT
Background and Aim: Although air pollution is a serious problem in Ahvaz, the association between respiratory diseases has not been studied enough this area. The aim of study was to determine relation short-term exposure pollutants risk hospital admissions due asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis Ahvaz. Methods: Hospital data including O 3 , NO, NO 2 SO CO, PM 10, 2.5 were obtained from 2008 2018. Adjusted Quasi-Poisson regression with distributed lag model, controlled for trend, seasonality, weather, weekdays, holidays used analysis. Results: results showed significant increase asthma (RR=1.004, 95% CI: 1.002– 1.007) COPD (RR=1.003, 1.001– 1.005) associated . 10 increased both genders (Men: RR=1.003, 1.006) (Female: 1.000– 1.006). also an (RR=1.040, 1.008– 1.074) (RR=1.049, 1.010– 1.090). (RR=1.069, 1.017– 1.124) (RR=1.030, 1.005– 1.056). Finally, CO (RR=1.643, 1.233– 2.191) (RR=1.542, 1.035– 2.298) admissions. Conclusion: Short-term significantly increases adult elderly population.
