Methods: We conducted a random cross-sectional national telephone survey adults >40 years old Taiwan. Participants fulfilling an epidemiological case definition completed questionnaire assess symptoms risk, comorbidities, performance daily activities. Data from cohorts analyzed compared. Results: Of 6,600 interviews completed, 404 subjects fit overall prevalence 6.1% this sample. on available for 292 cohort, whom 29.5% Compared those OSA, significantly more likely have hypertension or disease diabetes, had higher body mass index Assessment Test scores, reported impaired work leisure Conclusion: Among who fulfill epidemiologic criteria COPD, coexisting Comorbid diabetes are common prevalent among population not. screening is warranted patients factors that without, target early interventions reduce adverse sequelae overlap syndrome.
