ABSTRACT
Abstract: We describe a case of young male patient with narcolepsy type 1 (NT1), who developed generalized cataplexy attacks during sexual intercourses, on which we have obtained satisfactory control pitolisant. Orgasmolepsy is an uncommon feature NT1 that has been poorly described in the literature. The prevalence this condition unclear, as it reasonably underreported by patients for embarrassment and not well investigated physicians. Pitolisant novel treatment narcolepsy, effective excessive daytime sleepiness modulating histaminergic system. Real-world data collection pitolisant efficacy safety still ongoing. However, effectiveness orgasmolepsy no precedent other disturbances should be actively searched narcoleptic and, if present, may guide clinicians to prefer or sodium oxybate, avoiding antidepressants their possible side effects.
