ABSTRACT
Background: Although sleep disorders significantly increase the risk of cognitive impairment, literature is relatively scarce regarding impact status on function in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). We seek to study association between pre-stroke subjective and at 3 months after stroke. Patients methods: Data were analyzed for 1,759 AIS from Impairment Cognition Sleep Acute Ischemic Stroke or Transient Attack Chinese Study (ICONS). Pre-stroke was assessed by Pittsburgh Quality Index (PSQI) Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS). Greater fragmentation defined as waking up middle night early morning ≥ times a week. Cognitive evaluated using Montreal Assessment (MoCA) Primary endpoint incidence post-stroke impairment (PSCI) The PSCI multivariable logistic regression. Results: occurred 52.1% very bad quality before increased (OR, 2.11; 95% CI, 1.11– 4.03; P=0.03). Subgroup analysis found that more evident among high school education above 5.73; 1.92– 17.10; P interaction=0.02). In addition, greater also higher 1.55; 1.20– 2.01; P< 0.01). Similarly, subgroup showed pronounced without employment 2.45; 1.59– 3.77; interaction=0.01). Conclusion: Very identified independent factors Keywords: status,
