ABSTRACT
Purpose: CWP is an untreatable but preventable fibrotic lung disease caused by the chronic inhalation of coal dust. Genetic factors such as polymorphisms play important role in development CWP. The present study investigated association between SMAD4 and NLRP3 risk a Chinese Han population. Patients Methods: rs10502913 NLRP3rs1539019 were examined 292 subjects 315 dust-exposed controls. genotypes analyzed using direct sequencing. allele genotype proportion cases controls compared chi-square test. Results: AG GG not associated with altered AA (adjusted OR = 1.535 1.426, 95% CI 0.785– 3.000 0.732– 2.781, p 0.210 0.297, respectively). Also, rs1539019 heterozygous homozygous variants CA CC 0.985 1.127, 0.652– 1.489 0.713– 1.782, 0.944 0.608, In addition, there was no interaction smoking status on stratified analyses. Conclusion: this study, Large sample sizes multicenter studies are needed to elucidate these results future. Keywords: CWP, polymorphisms, rs10502913,
