ABSTRACT
Self-stigma plays a role in many areas of the patient's life. Furthermore, it also discourages therapy. The aim our study was to examine associations between self-stigma and adherence treatment discontinuation medication patients from various diagnostic groups.This cross-sectional involved outpatients attending Department Psychiatry, University Hospital Olomouc, Czech Republic. level measured with Internalized Stigma Mental Illness Drug Attitude Inventory. anonymously filled out demographic questionnaire which included question asking whether they had discontinued their past.We examined data 332 six basic categories (substance abuse disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar depressive anxiety personality disorders). showed statistically significant negative correlation all groups. correlated positively negatively severity disorders.
