ABSTRACT
Treatment-related problems (TRPs) may pose risks for patients if unaddressed. With the increased complexity of health care, it is important to target pharmacists' efforts that are at high risk TRPs.The present study aimed identify medications most commonly associated with TRPs.Outpatient departments five public and teaching hospitals in Jordan.TRPs drugs implicated TRPs were assessed recruited from outpatient clinics major Jordan using a standardized validated pharmaceutical care manual.Drugs different types TRPs.Ultimately, 2,747 patients, total 10,672 TRPs, included study. The medication groups cardiovascular (53.0%), endocrine (18.1%), gastrointestinal (7.7%) drugs. common specific any category atorvastatin (12.5%), metformin (8.5%), simvastatin (6.2%), enalapril (5.9%). Cardiovascular multiple subtypes - commonly, allergic reaction or undesirable effect (88.5%), drug product not available (87.3%), safety interaction issues (81.8%), need additional more frequent monitoring (78.0%), effective (77.2%). Hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia diseases identified high-risk which can be used as identification targeting approach TRPs. Such an would improve provided inform policies.
