ABSTRACT
Background: The study focusing on the tissue adhesive in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) was rare. This aimed to evaluate clinical outcomes and economic costs of when acting as adjunct standard incision closure TKA. Patients Methods: From September 2019 November 2019, we prospectively enrolled consecutive patients who underwent simultaneous bilateral TKA our institute. allocation using done after subcuticular suture right first another method applied left automatically. patients' demographics, length stay (LOS), times dressing changes incision-related cost, range motion (ROM), complications evaluation scores were recorded. Results: Thirty-two this followed at two months surgery. In knees adhesive, change patient scar assessment (PSAS) significantly less than those skin (p=0.000; p=0.003). Although there no significant differences delayed discharge, ROM, Vancouver score (VSS) between groups, 65.6% (21/32) preferred only 15.6% (5/32) closure. Conclusion: Tissue could effectively reduce postoperative wound drainage improve satisfaction rate with difference medical ROM application sutures might be one safe convenient Chinese Clinical Trial Registry: ChiCTR1900025730; Registered 6 2019.
