Detection of type of thalassemia disease in patients: A fuzzy logic approach

In this paper, we have determined the severity of Thalassemia disease in a patient with help their Red Blood Cell (RBC) indices components such as Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH) and corpuscular volume (MCV). Also level blood (Hemoglobin) is considered. We use fuzzy application, Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) to generate model for diagnosis. Obtained applied on set data that 15 results are similar 3 marginally off. It shows accuracy proposed system 83.3%. Sensitivity analysis carried out result which developed diagnosis more stable. From viewpoint an end-user, work can facilitate laboratory by reducing time cost.
