ABSTRACT
Asthma is the most common chronic respiratory disease of childhood worldwide with around 10% children and young adults affected. Despite high prevalence, paediatric asthma treatment outcomes are inadequate, there several avoidable deaths each year. Uncontrolled in population remains a major challenge worldwide, continues to impose significant economic burden, has negative impact on quality life (QOL) patients their families. Effective management involves holistic approach addressing both pharmacological non-pharmacological management, as well education self-management aspects. Working partnership families key promoting good outcomes. Education how take effectively, trigger avoidance, modify risk factors actions during acute attacks via personalised action plans essential. There uncertainty about best option for children/ adolescents uncontrolled despite fact that inhaled corticosteroids choice. This article presents clinical case reports consider therapies reducing exacerbations symptoms aged < 6 years, who receive corticosteroids. The first 5-year-old child hereditary loading from mother: bronchial asthma; allergic anamnesis: sensitization food products (cow’s milk protein), household (house dust mites, cat hair) pollen (birch) allergens was identified. second 4-year-old history recurrent bronchitis obstruction due infections since age 2 diagnosis established at 2.5 years.
