ABSTRACT
Background and study aim: None of Serum biomarkers that are utilized for diagnosis evaluating ulcerative colitis (UC) disease activity is specialized intestinal inflammation. Thus, it preferable to have access simple, low-cost techniques activity. Aim the examine whether neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) levels changed in UC patients know its potential as a affordable, accessible predictor patients' Patients Methods: This cross-sectional analytic involved 62 31 volunteers control group. All degrees severity were included. Physician global assessment well patient's overall Mayo Score. Colonoscopy with confirmation biopsy endoscopic score was calculated. NLR, serum C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), white blood cell count (WBC), Fecal calprotectin (FC) measured all subjects. Results: NLR significantly higher active (4.3±2.4) compared inactive (1.7±1.1) group (1.8±0.7) P-value Conclusion: strongly correlated having UC, more affordable than many other non-invasive indicators.
