ABSTRACT
Total of 30 Egyptian buffalo heifers (20-25 months and 340-360 kg) failed to conceive after 3 services (repeat breeder heifers) were exposed three hormonal protocols exhibiting the 4 th estrous cycle. In 1 st protocol, (n=10) injected with GnRH on day estrus service. In 2 nd (0 day), followed by PGF α 7. Heifers displaying within 48 hr injection served, while those did not show h a second dose 9 served 10.In rd starting 6 cycle.Animals 72 exhibit re-injected 11 days 24-48 later.Pregnancy was diagnosed ultrascan 35.d service. At service, diameter largest follicles recorded for protocols, corpus luteum (CL) protocol using ultrascan.Blood samples collected pre-and post-hormonal injections each determination progesterone (P4) concentrations in blood serum all animals. Results showed that conception rate (CR) 80% mean follicle 13.25 9.10 mm conceived non-conceived heifers, respectively.Concentration P4 lower pre-treatment at service (3.063 0.182 ng/ml) than (5.828 0.296 ng/ml), while, an opposite trend observed post-treatment (5.802 3.541 respectively. In injection, 50% (within h) CR based inseminated animals.Mean 8.3 7.0 nonconceived respectively. After blind 60% 8.9 4.7 respectively. The final GnRH-PGF α-GnRH 70%.The increased concentration treated reduced level 0.433 1.420 ng/ml 80%.Mean CL 11.3 mm.All (100%) exhibited 48-72 h), conceived.Mean 10.6 mm.For whole (after both injections), 90% 10.9 mm.The had cheapest cost highest conception, cost.
