ABSTRACT
Deltamethrin (DLM) is a synthetic pyrethroid type-II known to cause many adverse effects in experimental animals such as endocrine disruption, reproductive toxicity, and negative impact on gametogenesis. The present study was conducted evaluate the protective role of wheat germ oil against toxicity induced by male albino rats through evaluation semen picture, measuring testosterone levels, DNA fragmentation percentage pathologic changes testes.Thirty were divided into three groups (10 each); first group (C) administered with normal saline, second given at dose (6 mg/kg.B.W. rats) third (DLM+WGO) treated (1.5 ml/Kg.B.W. rats), after one h DLM administered. All treatments orally using stomach gavage for 30 days. The left 65 days treatment complete time spermatogenesis maturation sperms epididymis then sacrificed blood samples collected, testes removed, weighted, examined histopathologically.DLM administration significantly decreased weight adversely affected quality.Testosterone levels reduced. There significant elevation laddering compared C group.Histopathological examination revealed that form distorted seminiferous tubules intraluminal sloughing degenerated spermatogenic cells. Also there marked interstitial edema congestion. The co-administration showed improvement testes, pictures, level reduction group. It can be concluded that, mitigate fertility, leads performance.
