ABSTRACT
This study detected of the molecular Cryptosporidium species in immunocompetent and immunocompromisedadults with diarrhea attended Kafrelsheikh University Hospitals to assessrisk factors. Stool samples from 200 & immunocompromised wereexamined using acid fast (AF) stain PCR/restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP)targeting small subunit (SSU) rRNA gene. PCR amplified was 15(7.5%) immunocompetentand 23 (11.5%) immunocompromised, significance difference as age, presence mucous, abdominal pain (P<0.05). more common ruralareas autumn winter seasons. Two genotypes were C. hominis parvum, but C.hominis 60% 82.6% immunocompromised.
