ABSTRACT
<p>We are living in an era of technology where smart phones and hence social media has entered into many aspects our life. Many professions using to improve communication between colleagues. Social tools gaining attention medical education as well.</p><p><strong>Objective:</strong><strong> </strong>To explore the potential WhatsApp instructional strategy for 4<sup>th</sup> Year MBBS students Ophthalmology.<strong></strong></p><p><strong>Methods:</strong><strong> </strong>We made two groups on one males females. Topic lecture, relevant images taught topic MCQs SEQs were shared both encouraged ask questions if they had any. After ten lectures asked give their feedback activity group anonymous questionnaire.</p><p><strong>Results:</strong><strong> </strong>Two hundred thirty four students, 145 (62.0%) female 86 (36.8%) filled questionnaire. One eighty nine (88.77%) learn medicine while 45 (19.23%) not. Sixty seven (29.39%) Facebook, 65 (28.51%) 57 (25%) WhatsApp.<strong> </strong>Sixty percent once or more than twice a day. Eighty eight (63.8%) 66 (77.7%) male ranked this high above. To open ended question we got appreciative comments some suggestion.<strong></strong></p><p><strong>Conclusion:</strong><strong> </strong>WhatsApp is effective tool motivate, augmentand perhaps learning undergraduates addition traditional teaching.<strong></strong></p>
