ABSTRACT
The aims of the present study were to establish prevalence bovine clinical and subclinical mastitis in dairy herds located microregion Garanhuns state Pernambuco, Brazil, determine antimicrobial susceptibility as well identify resistance mechanisms production biofilm bacterial groups isolated. was conducted 10 cattle. number lactating cows per herd ranged from 22 90, totaling 477 animals. 2.7 18.2% 38.9 76%, respectively. genera isolated with Staphylococcus, Streptococcus Corynebacterium, respective frequencies 75.2, 17 2.6%. Among species identified, most frequent Staphylococcus aureus both mastitis. test isolates revealed high rates penicillin tetracycline. Biofilm found 95.4% whereas none samples presented efflux pumps. In conclusion, analyzed. Moreover, etiological agents are bacteria that have potential for resistant main antimicrobials used control disease, making a challenge veterinarians who work studied region.
