ABSTRACT
Fast disintegrating films of levocetirizine dihydrochloride useful for the treatment acute allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria have been developed by using taste masking ability cyclodextrins. The fast were prepared solvent casting method. contained water-soluble polymers such as Kollicoat IR or pullulan, aspartame sucralose sweeteners pre-gelatinized starch disintegrant. Levocetirizine was incorporated into these in-situ complex formation with hydroxy propyl beta-cyclodextrin. optimized evaluated weight variation, film thickness, folding endurance, tackiness, tensile strength, assay, content uniformity, in vitro disintegration dissolution, vivo human gustatory sensation test. Results revealed that organoleptic properties improved complexation beta-cyclodextrin could be successfully formulated a film.
