ABSTRACT
Background: At present, the interpretation of any dysfunction by pathogenic microbial colonization digestive tract can be considered as rupture microbiotic balance in injured or infected area. Phytodrugs with useful properties to intestinal microbiota equibiotics represent an alternative recently proposed Medicinal Plant Research Company Phytomedicamenta S.A. The Equibiotic-GI® is a phytodrug developed combination two plant extracts, obtained from leaves Psidium guajava L, (Myrtaceae) and roots Coptis chinensis Franch. (Racunculaceae). Both plants used traditionally for treatment several gastrointestinal disorders. Objective: aim current study was assess effect suspension on subjects functional dyspepsia. Methods: An open-label performed 8 adult dyspepsia receiving orally 20 mL suspension, daily weeks. Fecal samples were collected at baseline end assessing gut composition sequencing V3-V4 region 16S rRNA gene. Results: Equibiotic-GI modified Bacteriodetes/Firmicutes proportion increasing richness Rikenellaceae Alistipes abundance. Conclusion: Together improvement symptomatology after consumption product, present first clinical demonstration capacity restore microbiota.
