ABSTRACT
We investigated the safety and efficacy of consciousness sedation with dexmedetomidine (DEX) during endovascular treatment patients acute cerebral infarction. Between April 2014 November 2016, 38 stroke underwent thrombectomy (EVT) under local anesthesia DEX sedation. The continuous intravenous administration low-dose (0.3-0.4 μg/kg/h) was started before entering operating room. Patients not completely immobilized received an iv bolus pentazocine (PTZ) and/or (0.5-0.6 μg/kg/h). EVT performed using a stent retriever direct thrombo-aspiration. stopped as soon operation finished. A used in 8 (21.1%), thrombo-aspiration 10 (26.3%), plus 14 (36.8%), other devices 6 (15.8%). Reperfusion exceeding 50% (thrombolysis infarction >2b) obtained 30 (78.9%). alone 24 (63.2%), (36.8%) required additional injection or PTZ when were navigated to lesion. elicited no significant respiratory depression cardiac dysfunction interfering procedures. Consciousness by effective patients. Under PTZ, possible without significantly changing patients' vital signs.
