ABSTRACT
Background: Tachykinin 3 (TAC3) and its preferred tachykinin receptor (TACR3) that are prominently detected in the central nervous system, play significant roles physiological development specifically human reproductive system. The of TAC3/TACR3 oral squamous cell carcinoma unknown. Materials Methods: We examined expression pattern clinically-resected samples using immunohistochemistry immunofluorescence analysis. Results: found even though level TACR3 was negative normal epithelium, it highly elevated tumor cells. A more intense signal observed invasive front cells had migrated into mandible bone matrix. TAC3 not cells, but expressed PGP-9.5-positive sensory nerves mandible. Conclusion: Our results suggest peripheral nerve-derived may affect gingival through
