ABSTRACT
Although many surveys have been conducted on patients accessing their own health records in recent years, there is a limited amount of nationwide cross-country data available patients' views and preferences. To address this gap, an international survey patient users was the Nordic eHealth project, NORDeHEALTH.We aimed to investigate sociodemographic characteristics experiences who accessed electronic (EHRs) through national portals Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia.A cross-sectional web-based distributed using online portals. The target participants were at start 2022 aged ≥15 years. included mixture close-ended free-text questions about participant sociodemographics, usability experience, with care EHR, reasons for reading online, experience errors, omissions offense, opinions security privacy, usefulness portal functions. In paper, we summarized demographics, past care, descriptive statistics.In total, 29,334 completed survey, which 9503 (32.40%) from 13,008 (44.35%) 4713 (16.07%) 2104 (7.17%) Estonia. National samples comparable according reported gender, two-thirds identifying as women (19,904/29,302, 67.93%). Age distributions similar across countries, but Finland had older while Estonia younger users. highest attained education presence varied among samples. all 4 most commonly rated "fair" (11,279/29,302, 38.48%). Estonia, more often inclined rate positively, whereas Norway Sweden proportion negative ratings. Across whole sample, received some last 2 years (25,318/29,254, 86.55%). Mental common (6214/29,254, 21.24%) than oncological (3664/29,254, 12.52%).
