ABSTRACT
<sec> <title>BACKGROUND</title> COVID-19 was declared a pandemic on March 11, 2020. Given that the severe shortage of hospital beds has led to early discharge and insufficient patient education home care routines isolation protocols, close follow-up patients their immediate relatives is an integral part transitioning from for with COVID-19. </sec> <title>OBJECTIVE</title> We designed Tele-COVID-19 prospective cohort in Tehran, Iran, improve health delivery recording postdischarge patients’ clinical profiles. <title>METHODS</title> All adult who were admitted wards teaching hospitals Iran eligible participate this study. At baseline, recruited 4 major 9, 2020 May 20, Telephone follow-ups, which by volunteer medical students, conducted days 1-3, 5, 7, 10, 14. collected data range sociodemographic, epidemiological, characteristics using standard questionnaire. <title>RESULTS</title> Of 950 confirmed approached, 823 (response rate: 86.6%) consented enrolled into cohort. participants, 449 (54.5%) male. The mean age participants 50.1 years (SD 12.6 years). During initial collection phase, more than 5000 phone calls made over 577 reports critical need urgent attention recorded. <title>CONCLUSIONS</title> will provide sufficient isolation, advice proper use drugs.
