The Florida Cohort Wave 3: Recruitment and Data Collection from Persons with HIV in Florida: 2019-2023 (Preprint)

ABSTRACT
<sec> <title>BACKGROUND</title> Ending the HIV Epidemic remains a high public health priority, and state of Florida continues to have prevalence incidence. </sec> <title>OBJECTIVE</title> The Cohort study seeks identify factors associated with Care Continuum HIV-related comorbidities, focus on potential impact alcohol consumption. <title>METHODS</title> Wave 3 enrolled persons aged 18+ from nine clinical, case management, community settings across 2020 2023. All participants completed baseline questionnaire, most additional questionnaires at approximately one year after baseline. Data care treatment, mental health, substance use, stigma, technology were collected questionnaire. Additional covered gender identity, COVID-19, pets, stigma discrimination, antiretroviral therapy (ART) preferences. Questionnaire data securely linked variables Florida’s monitoring system. <title>RESULTS</title> Overall, 836 PWH (56% non-Hispanic Black, 16% Hispanic, 57% assigned male birth, 58% 50+).
