ABSTRACT
The share of agricultural population in the total Vojvodina is below 11%. accounts for 26% population, i.e. 24% active Serbia. Per 1 inhabitant there 0.88 ha land or 0.78 plough land. Having mind that average farm size about 3.59 used arable and each has 3 separate parcels, it could be concluded a very unfavourable property structure. Corn most dominant plant species Vojvodina. It grown on 630,000 with yield 5.3 t/ha, annual production 3.3 million tons. around 58% corn Wheat produced averagely 330,000 3.7t/ha 1.2 over 56% wheat gross domestic product agriculture larger than food industry, which means significant part spent exported raw state, not processed within own capacities. industry Serbia (47.3%) its (39.6%), although structure other parts more intensive (vegetable growing, fruit growing animal husbandry are dominant). This due to fact capacities grain industrial crop processing. real capabilities faster development Vojvodina’s lie multi-functional development. one resources will conventional manner by intensifying limits sustainable development, non-agricultural purposes (agro-eco tourism, hunting, fishing sports tourism catering, services renewable energy), while organic safe food.
