ABSTRACT
The newly synthesized 3-(phenyl(phenylthio)methyl)-1H-indole ligand demonstrates chemosensor activity towards environmental and clinically important metal ions viz. Hg2+ Cu2+, via fluorescence intensity enhancement. rigid complex ceases non-radiative channels with respect to the free ligand. Incorporation of water significant enhancement in presence interfering make method superior over others detect trace amount into aqueous based medium. Also, detection Cu2+ are considered as subjects an increasing societal demand well responsible for neurodegenerative disorders.
