Introduction : Preterm delivery is defined as before 37 weeks of gestation, approximately two-thirds infant deaths in the first year life involved and still considered one major health problems. Incidence preterm different studies mentioned , this study determined frequency type women admitted to centers Mashhad University Medical Sciences . Method: This retrospective on Iranian referred six months 2012 Information from records 40,293 mothers who had given birth were extracted analyzed. Result According findings study, less than weeks, a total 1,555 people are attending 3.9%. percentage twin births was 1.2% infants weighing 2,500 grams equivalent 5.6 percent Conclusion high morbidity mortality newborn associated with causes preventive measures for reducing LBW seems necessary.
