ABSTRACT
Background: Increasing the x-ray focus to film distance (FFD) has been advocated as an effective method reduce patients’ radiation dose. The aim of this study was investigate efficacy technique in patients' dose and image quality pediatric chest x-ray.Material methods: Sixty patients were imaged at FFDs 100 130 cm. Dose measurements performed using thermo-luminescent dosimeters (GR200). images independently assessed anatomical criteria recommended by European guidelines. Results: FFD from cm reduced entrance skin (ESD) 32.2% (p 0.05).Conclusion: Increased with no significant changes quality.
