ABSTRACT
The normal range of kidney size is a controversial issue among different populations given to its impressibility by multiple factors, therefore, this study aimed provide valid reference ranges for dimensions in the adult population Mashhad. Also, we assessed association characteristics with some personal predisposing factors. This cross-sectional was conducted on 938 healthy individuals. Ultrasound measurement, physical examination, and laboratory analysis were performed. Demographic, dietary, anthropometric data obtained. variables categorized into 5 groups each, performed using following statistical tests: Pearson correlation test, variance analysis, t-test, chi-square test. A value p<0.05 considered statistically significant.Weight had most followed lesser extent height age. Even after adjustment other confounding variables, weight remained as an independent factor, while effect resolved all values renal function, body bio-impedance, blood pressure components, water intake notably correlated size. This determined adults. We also declared dynamic concept should be each individual separately according their determinative factors.
