Social wasps fauna (Vespidae) of semideciduous seasonal forest in southern Brazil

ABSTRACT
Social wasps are insects that perform numerous environmental services, with emphasis on pollination and predation of agricultural pests. However, despite the increase in efforts to know social geographical distribution richness, there still many areas ecosystems few studies this nature, such as Paraná State, Southern Brazil. To collaborate these efforts, work aimed carry out an inventory semideciduous forest Ilha Grande National Park, integral conservation unit State. The Sampling took place from February November 2019, totalizing 15 days 60 hours, being carried six islands River, using active search for species colonies records. Fourteen were registered, distributed genera. study revealed a low which may be related area's usage history, well other factors. This highlights need greater sampling unit.
