ABSTRACT
Invasive Candidiasis (IC) and candidemia (as its most frequent manifestation) have become the main cause of opportunistic mycosis at hospital settings. This study, made by members Colombian Association Infectious Diseases (ACIN), was aimed providing a set recommendations for management, follow-up prevention IC / mucous membrane candida infection in adult, pediatric neonatal patients setting, including hemato-oncological critical care units. All data obtained through an exhaustive search were reviewed analyzed comprehensive manner all group, issued are being after careful review scientific literature available consensus specialists involved; emergence Candida Spp. problem is highlighted correct orientation to health professionals regarding management with candidiasis provided rational practical way, emphasizing patient evaluation, diagnostic strategies, prophylaxis, empirical treatment, directed treatment preventative therapy.
