ABSTRACT
The cutterhead of tunnel boring machine is a large-scale metal welding structure, which prone to problems such as wear and cracking during the tunnelling process. For issue, fatigue crack propagation rate model under different reliability was established, based on damage tolerance cutterhead. Its dangerous position failure determined by using finite element method. According load spectrum, life calculated, main factors affecting were analyzed engineering experiment carried out. results show that three positions are junction split plane, maximum deformation block central cutter seat. stress amplitude initial size With increase cutterhead, decreases worse. When greater than 0.5mm, obviously. research provide scientific basis for detection, prediction evaluation structure.
